The Entrepreneurs’ Council in Kherson has been disbanded.
Sources in the MVA told MOST about this.
The advisory and consultative body has been officially declared nonfunctional – the structure allegedly did not operate for more than four years, and the head of the Council, Oleksandr Maksymenko, in his letter confirmed that the body had effectively “stepped aside” from performing its duties.
Thus, of the 23 members of the Council, at least 20 people can no longer be part of it. Among the reasons are instances of collaborationist activity, leaving the country, or loss of contact with the city.
The MVA also notes that no meetings were held over four years, although they were planned to take place quarterly.
The city administration said that the Entrepreneurs’ Council is not a mandatory body for official functioning, but recognized the usefulness of such a platform in a renewed format.
According to MOST, the deputy mayor of Kherson, Vitaliy Bielobrov, plans to appoint the city council deputy and his friend Dmytro Piddubny as its head.
Piddubny was elected in 2020 as a deputy of the Kherson City Council from the party “We Live Here!”. This was preceded by the founding in 2016 of the creative space «Urban CAD» at the Kherson Machine-Building Plant.
In 2015 he ran on the lists of the VO «Samopomich», but the attempt was unsuccessful.
He began public activity in 2014 as a co-founder of the NGO and Business Association “WE-Khersonians”, and also headed one of the primary branches of the party “Power of the People” in Kherson.
