In Kherson, distribution of heaters has begun for priority groups of the city’s residents who remain without centralized heating due to the suspension of the CHP’s operation.
This was reported by the Kherson Military-Civilian Administration.
Alternative heating devices are being provided from the local material reserve.
Distribution is carried out through the district councils in the city, which allows the most vulnerable segments of the population to promptly receive the necessary means to heat their dwellings, the MCA noted.
Recall that as a result of systematic Russian shelling the Kherson CHP stopped operating on the morning of December 4. Currently 470 buildings remain without centralized heat supply – that is more than 40.5 thousand subscribers. The city authorities are considering alternative heating options for those homes that were previously connected to the CHP.
Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported that due to constant shelling the restoration of the CHP cannot be predicted.
