In Kherson, an open blitz chess tournament was held among the pupils of the children’s and youth sports school, dedicated to the birthday of Taras Shevchenko.

The tournament took place on March 8 in one of the city’s shelters. The school’s pupils participated in the competition, demonstrating good preparation and sportsmanship.
Among the boys, the winner was Tymofiy Kostyria, second place went to Andriy Korneiev, and third — Illia Sydorenko.
Among the girls, first place was taken by Maria Prydiuk, second — Sofiya Stadnik, third — Veronika Sydorenko.
Consolation prizes were also awarded to the participants who took fourth to sixth places — Mark Murzak, Yehor Melnyk and Dmytro Danshyn. All tournament participants received sweet gifts.
