In Kherson, work is underway on new solutions to protect critical infrastructure, in particular on creating underground power networks and developing distributed generation.
This was reported on the social media of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
It is noted that such steps are intended to reduce the infrastructure’s vulnerability to shelling and ensure more stable power supply.
At the same time, the city is working on decentralizing heat supply. A transition to block-modular boiler houses is being considered, the statement says.
Earlier it was reported that the 2025-26 heating season became for Kherson the most difficult in the entire history of independent Ukraine. The reason for this was the shutdown of the Kherson CHP and the shelling of “Khersonteploenergo” facilities.
