In Kherson, due to Russian attacks and damage to life-support infrastructure, they cannot guarantee stable operation of heating and electricity supply this winter.
The head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, wrote this on his Telegram channel.
This was discussed at a meeting with the heads of OSBBs and the residents of the Tavriyskyi microdistrict of Kherson.
The city authorities, together with the head of JSC “Kherson CHP” Serhii Fesenko, are developing alternative solutions, including the possibility of providing apartments with gas heaters.
The meeting also addressed the work of municipal services. Residents were assured that in the event of problems they can count on assistance from city services.
They separately discussed evacuation to safer regions, accommodation options, and assistance after departure. They also talked about equipping buildings with fire extinguishers due to the risk of fires after strikes.
