In December 2025, a resident of the Zelenivska community, Oleksandr Haranchuk, was killed in the war. He was 37 years old.

Oleksandr served as an officer of the crew of unmanned aviation systems of the 2nd combat special-purpose group of the separate special-purpose diving detachment “Omega” of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a junior lieutenant, a sapper.
As of February 24, 2022, Oleksandr Haranchuk was working in Poland. He immediately decided to return to Ukraine to serve in the military.
Oleksandr’s family spent two months in occupied Kherson. During that time they underwent searches by representatives of the Russian FSB. Later the family managed to evacuate from the occupied city to Odesa.
Oleksandr was killed on December 24, 2025.
