In the temporarily occupied Henichesk Hirka in Kherson Oblast, the Russians staged a propaganda event for the so-called State Flag Day of the Russian Federation. Representatives of Russian security forces, organizations controlled by the occupation authorities, and collaborators took part in it.
This was reported by the television channel «Tavriya» controlled by the Russian occupiers.
According to the propagandists, during the event one of the «largest flags of Russia» was unfurled. In total, about 30 people gathered for the event.
Among the participants, occupation media name representatives of youth and civic organizations, volunteers of the Russian headquarters «We are together», as well as employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya).
In fact, the occupiers and collaborators held the event for themselves and to create a picture for Russia-controlled media. In the published video of the rally, no resident of Henichesk Hirka can be seen joining it as a spectator.
The head of the department of the so-called patriotic education of the occupation «Ministry of Youth Policy of Kherson Oblast», Mykola Somov, said that such events are needed by young people because, allegedly, «their worldview is not yet formed».
According to him, in this way the occupation authorities want to show young people «how to be a patriot of their country».
After the capture of part of Kherson Oblast, the Russian occupation authorities regularly carry out similar propaganda actions, involving youth structures under their control, public-sector employees, security forces and representatives of the occupation administrations.
