In Kherson’s Central district, two more basic shelters have been set up, one of which is located in the so-called “red zone” that is constantly under Russian attacks.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
According to him, the area of the shelters is 246 and 348 square meters. They are equipped with everything necessary for people to stay for extended periods during air-raid alerts and shelling.
The premises are equipped with generators and space heaters provided by charitable partners.
As a reminder, last year the Civil Protection Department of the Kherson City Council spent 160 million UAH on the purchase and repair of shelters.
