In 2025 the Kherson region allocated 926 million hryvnias of budget funds to support the military. This represents 43% of the entire regional budget.
This was reported during the 2025 year-end press conference by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The funds were directed to the purchase of drones, electronic warfare equipment, vehicles, and other necessary equipment.
This is twice as much as in 2024. At that time 22% of the regional budget was allocated to support the military, which amounted to 450 million hryvnias.
“This is the largest percentage of own revenues in the country — no region has transferred such a share of budget funds to the military in percentage terms,” Prokudin said.
Recall that in 2025 more than 528 million hryvnias were planned for defensive measures in the territory of the Kherson region.
