The Kherson Regional Police are investigating a war crime committed by Russian military forces on October 24, 2022, near the city of Oleshky.
This is reported by the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kherson.
According to the investigation, in the early hours of the day the occupiers at a checkpoint opened fire with automatic weapons on a civilian vehicle. As a result of the shooting, a 37-year-old local resident and his 14-year-old child were killed.
Law enforcement officers continue to collect evidence and are identifying witnesses to the incident. Anyone who has any information or witnessed the crime is asked to contact the Telegram bot @Warcrimes_Police_KhS_UA_bot.
Recall, law enforcement are also are investigating a war crime by Russian military forces who on April 24, 2024 killed a 66-year-old local resident and set her house on fire.
