Three female students of Kherson State University will receive the President of Ukraine’s academic scholarships in the II semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
This was reported by Kherson State University rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.
From the Medical Faculty, the scholarships will be awarded to Olena Maksymenko, a 2nd-year master’s student, and Olha Stepanova, a 3rd-year master’s student. From the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology – 3rd-year student Darya Pavlyuchek.
Olena Maksymenko works as the head of the training department and as a paramedic of the mobile disaster medicine brigade of Kherson Oblast. She also trains Center staff and non-medical personnel in combat zones and conducts training on pre-hospital care and inter-hospital transport. In 2025 she participated in the panel discussion “Civilian Medicine – Lessons of War” and was a judge at the All-Ukrainian Championship of EMS brigades in Yaremche.
Olha Stepanova conducts scientific work at the O.O. Bogomolets Institute of Physiology, researches neurodegenerative diseases, is a finalist of the all-Ukrainian Neuro Impact Challenge competition of innovative projects and the author of numerous scientific publications.
Darya Pavlyuchek participates in the Volunteer Social Theatre and engages in psychological research. She organizes events for the Student Psychological Club and helps students develop skills in emotional self-regulation and mutual support within the framework of the international BURN Erasmus+ project.
Recall, students of the Kherson State Maritime Academy were awarded the President of Ukraine’s academic scholarships for high academic achievements and for scientific activity.
