Mykola Shcherbyna, a student of Kherson Higher Commercial College, has been in Russian captivity since November 14, 2022.
This is written by the publication “Tochka Skhodu” citing the words of the captive’s mother, Valentyna Shcherbyna.
As noted in the post, Russian forces first tried to illegally detain Mykola at a checkpoint in the village of Pryozerne, on the left bank of the Kherson region. Then the young man was released, but on November 14, during searches of local residents’ homes, he was taken from his home.

The International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed that Mykola Shcherbyna is held captive on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Despite the absence of a verdict and a trial, the young man is accused of allegedly opposing the “special military operation,” the message says.
It was recently reported that after two years of Russian captivity, a resident of the Novovorontsovska community, Sergeant Oleksandr Petrenko, returned home.
