Kherson City Court issued a verdict against a judge from Crimea, Stanislav Yurchenko, who serves as a judge in the TOT of Kherson region.
This was revealed by the verdict published on the website of the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
As the investigation proved, in July 2024 Yurchenko voluntarily took up the position of judge in the illegally created Kherson Regional Court in temporarily occupied Henichesk.
The court in absentia found Yurchenko guilty under Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – voluntary assumption by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in illegal judicial or law enforcement bodies. He was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property belonging to him.
Before Russia’s annexation of Crimea, Stanislav Yurchenko worked as a judge of the Dzhankoi City District Court. In 2014 he sided with the illegal authorities and continued to work in the court, but under Russian law. In 2017 the High Council of Justice dismissed him from the position of judge.
In January last year he received 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property for state treason.
