On 27 February 2026 the Novovorontsovskyi District Court, in absentia, found 53-year-old Nova Kakhovka resident Oksana Atamanchuk guilty of collaborationist activities; she conducted illegal elections in the Kherson region.
This was reported by ‘IRS-Pivden’.
Thus, in March 2024 Atamanchuk took part in organizing and conducting the illegal presidential election of the Russian Federation on the temporarily occupied territory. In particular, she served as a member of the so-called precinct election commission No. 20 with the right to a decisive vote during voting.
According to journalists, before the occupation Oksana Atamanchuk worked as a Russian language and literature teacher and as an educator-organizer at Novokakhovka Lyceum No. 9. During the occupation she taught at the illegally established School No. 1, which was later liquidated by the occupation authorities.
In January 2025 the woman was placed on the international wanted list.
According to a character reference issued by the Novokakhovka City Military Administration, Atamanchuk is described as a non-confrontational and calm person who did not take an active part in community life.
The court found her guilty of collaborationist activities (Part 2 of Art. 28 and Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). By an in absentia verdict she was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
The court also prohibited Atamanchuk for 10 years after serving the main sentence from holding positions related to performing organizational-management and administrative-economic functions in state authorities, local self-government bodies and structures that provide public services, as well as from engaging in activities related to the electoral process and referendums.
