The Kherson Court of Appeal upheld the sentence of former computer science teacher from Beryslav Tamara Miroshnychenko, who was previously convicted for collaborationist activities.

According to the court, during the occupation of part of Kherson Oblast Miroshnychenko agreed to head the so-called Hornostaivka Territorial Election Commission created by the Russians and took part in organizing illegal elections to the occupation authorities.
In July 2025, the Novovorontsovskyi District Court found her guilty and sentenced her to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The defense appealed the verdict, arguing that there was insufficient evidence of guilt. However, the panel of judges of the appellate court did not agree with these arguments.
The judges pointed out that Miroshnychenko’s guilt is corroborated by documents of the occupation structures, materials from the websites and Telegram channels of the occupation administration, her public statements, expert examination results and testimony obtained during the investigation.
The appellate court also noted that the woman acted voluntarily and was an active participant in the operation of the illegal electoral apparatus created by the Russian authorities in the occupied territory.
On May 12, the Kherson Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal and left the sentence unchanged.
