Rivne City Court handed down a verdict to a resident of Kakhovka district, Tetyana Shymanska, who took a job with the occupation administration on the left bank of the Kherson region.

As the investigation established, in the summer of 2022 Shymanska took the position of head of the department for work with educational institutions in the so-called Chaplynskyi municipal district, which she continues to hold.
Also, in September 2023 she took part in illegal elections and was elected a deputy of the so-called council of deputies of the so-called Chaplynskyi municipal district from the party “United Russia”.
According to witnesses in court, before the full-scale invasion Shymanska worked at the Khrestivska village council, and after 24 February 2022 she remained in the village and agreed to work in the occupation administration.
After examining the evidence, the court in absentia found Tetyana Shymanska guilty of collaborationist activity (part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code).
She was sentenced to 8 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
According to electronic declarations, in 2017 Tetyana Shymanska worked as a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at the Khrestivska Secondary School (grades I–III) in the Kherson region.
From 2018 to 2021 she held the position of head of the department of education, culture, youth and sports of the Khrestivska village council of the Kherson region. At the same time she worked as a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature.
In 2021 Shymanska also indicated in her declarations that she worked as the chief specialist of the department of education, culture, youth and sports of the Starosiletska village council.
