The court ruled to return part of the bail to Illia Karamalikov, a Kherson City Council deputy charged with treason.
This is stated in the relevant court ruling that came into MOST’s possession.
According to the court ruling, the funds will be returned to two bail providers in the amount of 386 200 hryvnias and 189 400 hryvnias.
The total amount of payments will be 575 600 hryvnias.
At the same time, the court extended other restrictive measures for Karamalikov until June 20, 2026, in particular the wearing of an electronic bracelet and the ban on leaving his place of residence (except for trips to Kyiv for medical treatment).
Prior to this, the Dnipro Court of Appeal reviewed the amount of bail for the Kherson City Council deputy Illia Karamalikov, reducing it to 332 800 UAH.
Recall, in January 2026 Karamalikov was released from Kryvyi Rih pre-trial detention center after posting bail of more than 900 thousand hryvnias. According to his family, these funds were collected by about 30 people.
Earlier the court had already reduced the bail for the deputy several times. In early March 2025 he was allowed to be released from SIZO under bail in the amount of 9 million UAH; later it was reduced to 6 million UAH, then to 4.5 million UAH, 1.3 and finally to 900 thousand hryvnias, however Karamalikov did not pay the bail.
In September of the same year he appealed to MPs from Kherson region Serhii Kozyr, Pavlo Pavlish and Viktoriia Vagner, asking the three of them to give him money so that he could be released from SIZO.
As the deputy’s lawyer claimed, his client did not have the money to post bail.
