The Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv chose a preventive measure for a Kherson resident suspected of aiding the aggressor state. The man was remanded in custody for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 665 600 hryvnias.
This was reported in the court ruling.
According to the pre-trial investigation of the Security Service of Ukraine, during the temporary occupation of Kherson, but no later than August 2022, a local pensioner voluntarily agreed to the invaders’ proposal. He took the position of site foreman of section 83 of shop 57 at the State Unitary Enterprise Pallada, illegally created by the Russians. This occupation enterprise was deployed on the seized material and technical base of the Ukrainian company Pallada-Ship’yard on the Quarantine Island.
The investigation established that in this position the suspect inspected the condition of the shop’s material base, sought workers among local residents for the illegal structure, and actively convinced former factory employees to move to work for the occupiers.
The Kherson resident himself does not admit his guilt.
Earlier it became known that a former lieutenant colonel of the State Emergency Service was sentenced for collaborating with the occupiers in the Kherson region.
