As of November 2025, more than 1,200 elevators operate in Kherson, serviced by three specialized companies. Most of these lifts — 950 units — are on the balance of LLC “Kherson Elevator Company”, established in 2023.
This is reported by Suspilne. Kherson.
Company director Serhiy Serdyuk said that about 4% of the elevators on the balance are not working, mostly due to the difficult security situation, expired service life, or damage to buildings from shelling by Russian forces.
Residents choose the payment system: 80% of elevators operate with cards, and 20% — by subscription fee.
Serdyuk noted that the monthly amount allocated for technical maintenance has not changed since 2021 and is 2026 hryvnias for a typical nine-story building.
“During martial law we offer a 50% discount, that is 1013 hryvnias for a regular elevator. But there are cases when the amount differs. The calculations use a formula that takes into account the year, load capacity, number of floors, so a fixed price applies only to a regular elevator”, — the company director says.
Cards in Kherson can now be topped up at a single service point. You can also contact it to restore a card.
Each elevator has a passport service life — mostly 25 years. After that an expert inspection is required, which accredited organizations have the right to perform, the article says.
“The service life of elevators is specified by building regulations and passport data. The manufacturer states the term, after which an expert organization issues a conclusion: whether to extend it or whether replacement is required. At present it should not exceed four years. Expert inspections are carried out by organizations that have received accreditation from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. Therefore owners, heads of condominium associations independently choose those organizations that are convenient and accessible for them”, — Serdyuk concluded.
