About 145,000 people live on the right bank of Kherson Oblast.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, told a Novyny.LIVE journalist.
“Now this has probably become a steady figure, and it has held for about two and a half years. It only changes due to seasonality… Most of the people who leave specifically for the winter account for a decrease of 10-15 thousand. But that is not a critical number leaving the region”, – he said.
About 60,000 people remain in Kherson itself — this is 20% of the pre-war population.
Recall, as of July 1, 2025, the majority of Kherson’s population are people of pension age.
