The death of Ukrainian serviceman Oleksandr Keller, who had long been considered missing in action, has been reported.
The Vysokopillia settlement military administration confirmed his death.
According to local authorities, in May 2025, after DNA testing, it became known that the defender had been killed on April 5, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Vysokopillia in the Kherson region.
Oleksandr Keller was born on April 26, 1982, in Zhytomyr. He attended the local School No. 5 (now Lyceum No. 5). After school he trained as a builder at Vocational-Technical School No. 1, and later continued his studies at the Zhytomyr Agrotechnical Professional College.
After his compulsory military service he worked at the Zhytomyr hosiery factory «Ekotextyl», where he advanced from builder to assistant foreman for machine maintenance.
The serviceman is survived by his wife and two daughters.
