The reason for the introduction of a man-made emergency regime in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region was widespread problems with power supply and infrastructure damage.
Pro-Russian media report this, citing the words of the so-called governor Volodymyr Saldo.
According to him, due to infrastructure damage, 207 settlements were left completely or partially without electricity.
He also reported damage to life-support facilities and the need to carry out emergency restoration works.
At the same time, in the document on the introduction of the emergency regime, which the occupation administration issued back on July 3, specific reasons for such a decision were not stated.
The emergency regime was introduced across almost the entire occupied part of Kherson region — in the so-called Oleshky, Kakhovka, Hola Prystan, Henichesk, Skadovsk, Velykolepetyskyi, Hornostaivka, Chaplynka districts, as well as in Nova Kakhovka.
Interestingly, sources controlled by the illegal authorities did not cover the announcement of the emergency at all, and later the document on the introduction of the emergency disappeared from the occupation administration’s website.
According to pro-Russian resources, the document is allegedly under revision.
Recall, at the end of May the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a number of pieces of equipment of the occupying forces on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. In particular, the land corridor to Crimea was hit.
Strikes were also carried out on a number of bridges connecting Kherson region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Since then, on the left bank there have been problems with fuel, electricity and water supply. In particular, due to the mass lack of electricity on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, Russian administrative service centers have closed.
