A resident of Novovorontsovka, soldier Anatoliy Topchiy was posthumously awarded the distinction medal «Knight’s Cross».
This was reported on the Novovorontsovka SVA page.
“Unfortunately, this honorary award was granted to Anatoliy posthumously. The medal was handed over to our defender’s family for permanent safekeeping”, – they noted there.
News of Anatoliy Topchiy’s death became known in spring 2026.
Anatoliy – a native of Khreshchenivka. He was mobilized in August 2024.
At the end of October 2024 the serviceman stopped making contact and was officially declared missing in action.
“The ‘Knight’s Cross’ is awarded to service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who, at risk to their lives, have demonstrated exceptional bravery during combat operations against the enemy of Ukraine, in anti-terrorist actions, and in peacekeeping and security operations.
