During 2025 in the Kherson region, as a result of Russian drone terror, 130 people were killed, including 3 children. Another 1195 civilians were injured.
This was reported at the 2025 year-end press conference by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Over the year, Russian forces launched about 97 thousand strike drones over the region. Of them, 93 thousand were destroyed or suppressed by air defense and electronic warfare forces.
Prokudin noted that the front line in the Kherson region currently records one of the highest rates of effectiveness in protecting the civilian population from drone attacks.
“Along the front line we have the best situation regarding protection of the population from drones. The percentage of destruction and suppression that we have does not exist in other regions. But there will never be 100% protection, because technologies are constantly changing. We are trying to increase the effectiveness of these processes, however there will not be 100%,” emphasized the head of the Regional Military Administration.
Earlier we wrote that currently the military have identified 27 sites where mesh tunnels are being set up, with a total length of 217 kilometers of roads. The implementation of the project requires 261 million hryvnias.
Also, we recall that in 2025 due to Russian shelling of the Kherson region 307 people were killed, including 6 children. Another 2564 residents of the region were injured, including 62 children.
