In 2025, two companies in the Kherson region declared bankruptcy. This is the smallest number of closed businesses among all regions of Ukraine — only the Luhansk region has fewer, where no businesses closed.
This is reported by the Opendatabot service.
In Ukraine overall, 780 companies in 2025 initiated bankruptcy proceedings — this is only 10% of all business closures.
60% of companies cease operations on their own, without going through bankruptcy proceedings. Overall last year, 8 191 companies were recorded as having ceased or changed their activities.
LLCs most often go bankrupt — 84% of cases. The leaders in the number of bankruptcies were companies in wholesale trade, agriculture, real estate activities, construction, and retail trade.
The most bankruptcy procedures were opened in Kyiv — 140 companies, almost as many in the frontline Zaporizhzhia region — 138 companies. Next is Kyiv region — 86 companies.
As a reminder, in 2025, 3 757 individual entrepreneurs in the Kherson region ceased their activities.
