The Zavodskyi District Court of the city of Kamianske has handed down a verdict against Ukrainian citizen Mykola Duylovskyi. The native of Makiivka was found guilty of treason and collaborationism for participating in hostilities on the side of the Russian Federation and as part of the illegal armed formation “DPR”.
This is stated in the court verdict.
As the court established, on February 24, 2022, the day the full-scale invasion began, Duylovskyi voluntarily went to the military enlistment office in occupied Makiivka. He was enrolled in the 125th regiment of the people’s militia of “DPR” as a rifleman. For his service he received monetary compensation: initially 76,800 rubles, and later — 200,000 rubles per month.
In 2022 Duylovskyi’s unit was transferred to the territory of Kherson region. There he carried out the occupiers’ strategic tasks. In particular, at Chornobaivka airport he guarded facilities and loaded ammunition for Russian equipment. He also provided security and ensured the unimpeded passage of Russian military columns across the Antonivskyi Bridge. In addition, Duylovskyi worked at ammunition depots near Henichesk and facilitated the movement of equipment across the Dnipro River.
Later Duylovskyi was transferred to the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces as an assistant grenadier. He took part in the battles for Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka. He was later taken prisoner near the village of Yelyzavetivka in Pokrovsk district.
During the hearing Mykola Duylovskyi fully admitted his guilt and stated that he sincerely repents. However, given the gravity of the crimes against the foundations of national security, the court imposed a severe punishment.
Under the combined charges (parts 1 and 2 of Article 111, part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) Duylovskyi was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all personal property. He was also stripped of the right to hold positions in government bodies for 15 years.
