A 6th-grade student of Kherson Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 20, Yehor Tarasenko, received the Best Boxer cup in his weight category at the tournament “Vіdkrytyy rynk” in Chornomorsk.
The Department of Education of the Kherson City Council reported this.
The competition took place on December 6 under the patronage of the Odesa District Military Administration with the support of the Chornomorsk City Council and the Sports Palace “Yunist”. The tournament was attended by 86 young athletes born in 2011–2016 from Chornomorsk, Odesa, Rozdilna and Mykolaiv.
Yehor competed as part of the Odesa Boxing Federation team and won an award from the boxing club “Braty”.
Recall that third-year student of the educational program «Physical Culture and Sport» at Kherson State University, Oleh Vityk took 3rd place at the Ukrainian Boxing Cup among men and women.
