Former head of the state concern “Ukroboronprom” Roman Romanov, who now lives in the USA, and six other entrepreneurs were granted individual land benefits for 2023.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA Yaroslav Shanko.
The 100% benefits are related to the fact that the land plots are considered unsuitable for use due to the threat of contamination by explosive ordnance. All of them are located within Kherson.
Recall, in 2014 — 2018 Roman Romanov served as the general director of the state concern “Ukroboronprom”. He was implicated in a number of corruption schemes involving money laundering in the procurement of military equipment and gear.
In 2016 Romanov became a co-founder of LLC “Romanov Maritime Agency”.
In 2016 he studied in the USA at the invitation of the Pentagon and received a diploma from the Defense Acquisition University.
In 2021 he founded LLC “Diprovid”. He serves as the director of this organization.
He also served as head of LLC “Farm Products” and was the head of LLC “Yug — Auto”.
He is the head of the branch of LLC “Delta Marin LTD”.
After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine he moved to the USA. He has a business there in the form of a branch of the holding “Planeta RS” called “Orange Pavers”, which belongs to the industrial park “Pocono Industrial”.
In June 2025 it became known that the Kherson ODA purchased slabs for 3.5 million UAH from a company, whose co-founder is the wife of Roman Romanov.
