Scammers have hacked the account of the Head of the Kherson Regional Council, Oleksandr Samoylenko, in one of the messaging apps.
He reported this on his Facebook page.
According to him, messages in Russian with various requests, including requests to transfer funds, may currently be sent on his behalf.
Samoylenko urged people not to respond to such messages or conduct any financial transactions. He emphasized that he communicates in Ukrainian and never asks for money transfers via messaging apps.
If in doubt, the official advises calling him personally.
