The SBU has announced suspicion against Viktoriya Shatrova, who held the position of director of the base institution “Academic Lyceum” in Skadovsk and implemented the educational standards of the Russian Federation, thereby facilitating the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.
The text of the suspicion was published on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
As the pre-trial investigation established, Shatrova, while holding the position of director of the “Academic Lyceum” of the Skadovsk City Council, voluntarily accepted an offer from representatives of the occupation authorities and headed the occupation-run Skadovsk School No. 1.
In the so-called position she implemented the educational standards and programs of the Russian Federation, ensured education using Russian textbooks and carried out propaganda activities among students and teachers. She also organized staff meetings to disseminate Russian ideological narratives.
Shatrova’s actions are qualified under part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — propaganda in educational institutions with the aim of assisting the establishment and consolidation of the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.
Earlier the prosecutor’s office announced suspicion against Ukrainian citizen Serhii Merkotan in the organization and conduct of illegal elections on the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.
