The Security Service of Ukraine has notified suspicion of collaboration against Yurii Hinko, a native of Chervonyi Maiak in the Kherson region.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to investigators, while on the temporarily occupied territory of the village of Mykolaivka in Beryslav district, the man in the summer of 2022 voluntarily assumed the position of the so-called head of the Mykolaivka village council of the occupation Beryslav Military-Civilian Administration.
Hinko is suspected under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – collaborationist activity, that is, the voluntary taking by a citizen of Ukraine of a position associated with the performance of organizational-management and administrative-economic functions in illegal authorities established on temporarily occupied territory, including in the occupation administration of the aggressor state.
Before the full-scale invasion, Yurii Hinko, according to local media, worked as a tractor driver.
