Law enforcement officers have notified Kherson resident Olena Denysenko of suspicion, who during the temporary occupation of the city held a leadership position in the illegal administration.
This is stated in the text of the suspicion, which is published on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, Denysenko was on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson no later than September 2022 and voluntarily assumed the position of the so-called deputy head of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the city of Kherson.
In that pseudo-position the suspect performed organizational, managerial, and administrative-economic functions, implemented the management decisions of the occupying authorities in the field of labor and social protection of the population, and also implemented the social policy of the aggressor state in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast.
The woman is accused of collaborationist activity under part five of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The article’s sanction provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment with a possible additional restriction on the right to hold certain positions.
Olena Denysenko has worked in the Kherson social protection system since at least 2017.
From 2017–2021 she held the position of chief specialist of the Department of Benefits, Social Guarantees and Compensations of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Dnipro District Council in the city of Kherson.
According to the submitted declaration in 2021, Olena Denysenko is married to Vadym Denysenko and has a son, Mykyta.
The declaration also states that her husband privately owns a residential house in Kherson. The property with a total area of 96.5 square meters was acquired on December 26, 2012.
Earlier it was reported that SBU investigators announced suspicion against New Kakhovka resident Olena Bolotna, who voluntarily went to cooperate with the occupying authorities.
