The Security Service of Ukraine has in absentia notified a Kherson resident of suspicion, who during the occupation worked in the so-called Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Kherson Oblast.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU in Kherson Oblast.
According to MOST, it concerns Oleksandr Ivanchenko, a resident of Kherson.
The investigation established that the man held the so-called position of head of the administrative and technical supervision department. He organized the work of subordinates, approved plans for inspections of enterprises, and ensured the implementation of orders of the occupation administration in the field of natural resource use and environmental supervision. Thus, he contributed to the imposition on the temporarily occupied territory of the standards and rules of the aggressor state.
He is charged with collaborationist activity under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The suspect was also summoned to SBU investigators for procedural actions.
Earlier it was reported that former Kherson City Council official Iryna Chekhun, who voluntarily sided with the Russians, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
