The occupation-appointed governor of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, is urging residents of the left bank to reduce the use of high-power electrical appliances due to worsening weather conditions.
This was reported by occupation media.
According to Saldo, due to snowfall and localized blizzards the load on the power grid is increasing, and icing on high-voltage lines is possible, which may lead to emergency outages.
He also stated that reducing the load should help provide electricity to residential buildings, medical facilities, schools and other socially important facilities.
Recall that in the Holoprystan community in the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Kherson region there is a critical humanitarian situation. The settlements of the community have long remained without electricity, communications, gas, heating and access to medical services.
Recently residents of Nova Zburivka and surrounding settlements on the left bank of Kherson region reported a complete blackout that lasted at least 11 days.
Last year the occupation-appointed governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, promised to ensure “stable electricity supply” on the left bank of the region.
As of the end of January 2026, rolling power outages have been introduced in the vast majority of communities in the TOT of Kherson region, but schedules are very often not followed.
