So-called governor of the occupied part of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said that freight traffic on the R-280 “Novorossiya” route is allegedly gradually stabilizing.
He told pro-Russian media about this.
This road runs through the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions and connects Russia’s Rostov-on-Don with annexed Crimea.
According to him, security measures on the route have allegedly been strengthened and the number of air defense systems increased.
At the same time, the fuel shortage in the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson region still remains. Residents report the absence of gasoline and diesel fuel at gas stations.
The fuel shortage arose because during May and June the Defense Forces carried out about 200 strikes on fuel tankers, trucks and other vehicles on this route.
According to the occupiers, on the left bank of Kherson region the situation may not normalize for about another month.
