The occupying administration of Kherson region ordered the creation of a special headquarters that will control “labor productivity” in the region.
The relevant document was signed by the so-called governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.
The new body is to coordinate the work of local agencies so that they meet the plans and indicators established by the Russian national project “Effective and Competitive Economy”.
The main work of the headquarters consists of monitoring how the schedules and results specified in Russian federal plans are being implemented in the occupied territory.
It should be noted that when forming the 2025 budget for the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Kherson region, the Russian government allocated 76% as subsidies. This year’s budget, however, the occupation authorities approved with multi-billion deficits.
Without constant financial injections from the Russian Federation, the occupied region cannot function. The occupation authorities try to pass off dependence as development, but in reality the economy of the TOT of Kherson region is in a state of decline.
