The occupation governor of Kherson Oblast, Volodymyr Saldo, has revoked the order to suspend the curfew for Christmas.
This was announced in the order dated January 5.
Thus, on the night from January 6 to 7 the curfew in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region will operate in the usual mode — from 23:00 to 04:00.
The text of the document states that the decision was made in connection with the “operational situation”, the imposition of martial law and the alleged threat of strikes on concentrations of the civilian population. It also refers to the decision of the emergency meeting of the so‑called anti‑terrorist commission of January 5.
Recall, on the night from December 31 to January 1 in Khorly the restaurant “Ukrainian Khata” was on fire; the nearby hotel “Leo” was also hit. Occupation sources claimed the alleged deaths of 24 people. Later, the number of victims increased. Saldo promised to publish the names of all civilians who died in Khorly, however later stated that 80% of the victims cannot be identified.
In addition, in a comment to pro‑Russian media he noted that he plans to appeal to the United Nations to demand condemnation of the strike on the settlement of Khorly.
