Russian forces in southern Ukraine have significantly intensified air strikes and are regrouping units, in particular partially transferring paratroopers from the Dnipro direction.
This was reported on the telethon by the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to him, at the beginning of the week in the south the enemy conducted regrouping for two days, after which assault activity increased. In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces also attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions in the area of the Antonivskyi road bridge.
According to intelligence data, the occupying army is regrouping units, conducting reconnaissance of the Dnipro coast and straits, attempting to establish logistical support, and also delivering fire strikes on detected targets and populated localities on the right bank of the Dnipro.
“Over the last week the number of enemy airstrikes has significantly increased. The enemy carries out at least 10 airstrikes daily, using KABs. The number of such bombs – 75-90 units per day. In addition, the enemy maintains the number of kamikaze drone uses – about 1,500 per day. 400-420 artillery strikes on our positions”, – the spokesman noted.
He added that most of the airstrikes the enemy carries out are not directly on the positions of the Defense Forces, but on populated localities near the front line. According to the spokesman, the purpose of such actions is to destroy buildings and potential shelters.
It should be noted that, according to the General Staff, today the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack in the direction of the Antonivskyi bridge.
