A fire erupted in the technical premises of the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore in central Kherson as a result of an attack by Russian FPV drones.
This was reported on the museum’s page.
The strike damaged the building, as well as antique display cases from the early 20th century. They were made of natural wood and had been used to store museum exhibits for over 120 years. They were intended to become museum items themselves.
At the same time, the museum collections were not harmed, as they had been previously evacuated to safe locations.

It was previously reported that the buildings of the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore are under the protection of the international emblem “Blue Shield”, provided for by the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
