The occupiers have for several years in a row been trying to disrupt the heating season on the right bank of Kherson region. To this end they deliberately strike boiler houses, heating mains and employees of municipal enterprises. These shellings are not concealed, on the contrary — the Russians are proud of them. Although, as it turned out, there are characters in the swamps who are ready to blame anyone for the heating problems in Kherson except their compatriots. For example, the so‑called “senator” from Kherson region Ihor Kastyukevich believes that the troubles for the regional center are caused not by Russians, but by Hollywood stars, in particular Angelina Jolie.
Russian media report on Kastyukevich’s absurd statements.
“Against the backdrop of constant trips to Kherson by any Hollywood stars and Zelensky, the real situation and truth that is happening there, and the real attitude of Kyiv towards its citizens, are revealed… But look how they treat Kherson and Kherson residents! They are starving people with hunger and cold, only to then photograph and prepare the next fake that Russia led them to this,” — Kastyukevich notes.

Regarding Angelina Jolie, the “senator” accuses her of suppressing the fact that “evil Banderites” are tormenting Kherson residents, forcing them to spend the winter without heating.
A few days after the publication of this nonsense on hostile resources, the Russians demonstrated how they truly “care” for the population of the right bank of Kherson region by effectively destroying the CHP in the regional center. As a result of the massive shelling, half of Kherson residents were left without heat, even though the heating season in the city had already begun.

But even after the destruction of the CHP the city does not “freeze,” as the occupiers wish, and certainly does not “starve,” as Kastyukevich claims. Local authorities are seeking alternative heating options for those homes left without heating. At the same time, negotiations are underway with international partners to provide Kherson residents with electric or gas heaters. Heads of condominium associations are already collecting needs apartment by apartment.
Points of Invincibility are also operating where people can warm up. In total, their number in Kherson region is 186. If necessary, heating points will also open in the premises of the simplest shelters in Kherson. Work is ongoing to inspect them and possibly equip them with diesel heat guns.
