The occupiers circulated information that Ukrainian forces allegedly attacked with an FPV drone the car of pro-Russian children’s writer Denis Sorokin in the temporarily occupied Kherson region.
This was reported by pro-Russian Telegram channels.
According to the occupiers’ version, the attack occurred on the highway when he was carrying a so-called humanitarian cargo. The kamikaze drone allegedly hit a car carrying food and children’s books.
Sorokin claims that he managed to leave the car a few seconds before the explosion, and the vehicle burned out completely.
On the website of his company “Lenremont” (which provides repair services), Sorokin presents himself as a father of many children, a children’s writer, and the author of his own method “Unobtrusive Parenting”. He also notes that he is an active participant in the “People’s Front” movement and speaks at schools and kindergartens in Saint Petersburg and the LPR and DPR.
According to available information, he has published five children’s books.
