Prince Trubetskoy’s winery in the Kherson region was completely destroyed by Russian aerial bombs. On February 12 pro-Russian Telegram channels published videos of the strikes.
This is reported by «Комерсант Український» citing the words of the winery’s sommelier Oleg Novosyolov.
According to him, the historic 19th-century chateau and the transport storage building were “erased”.

On February 24, 2022 the entire territory of Trubetskoy’s chateau was occupied by Russian forces.
After the de-occupation of the right bank of the Kherson region it became known that equipment and furniture from the restaurant, hotel, office and shop had been stolen from the chateau grounds. The wine collection was also completely looted; in particular were seven bottles of wine that had been stored since the early 20th century were stolen, dating back to the time of Prince Trubetskoy.
In April 2023 the winery was renamed to Stoic Winery.
The owner of the Ukrainian wine bar UWINES, Serhiy Klimov, reported that the team preserved the building blueprints, which gives hope for the restoration of production when the security situation allows.
Recall that the palace of Prince Petro Trubetskoy was founded in 1909; thereafter the estate grounds were expanded several times and transformed into a winery.
In 1991 the estate passed into private ownership and from 2003 to 2011 the enterprise underwent a major reconstruction. They began producing dry wines using classic French techniques.
