Russians are stealing food that people in Oleshky hid in abandoned cellars or bought for huge amounts of money in the few stores that are still open.

“Russians not only fail to provide the residents of the occupied city with food, although it is their duty according to the Geneva Conventions. They also steal food”, – the article says.
Also, former police officer from Oleshky Ksenia Arkhipova told WP journalists that in the past four months no humanitarian aid has arrived to the city.
Recall, on June 2 at the entrance to Oleshky on the left bank of Kherson region a column of civilian vehicles was blown up by a mine. The vehicles were carrying food supplies and humanitarian aid to the city.

Ukraine called on the UN Secretary-General and international partners to pressure Russia to ensure compliance with international humanitarian law and to create safe conditions for the evacuation of the civilian population.
More than 6,000 residents of the occupied part of Kherson region may need humanitarian assistance, including about 200 children. Most of them have limited mobility.
