Russia allocated 23 million rubles to clean rivers and banks that they themselves destroyed on the left bank of the Kherson region.
This was reported by occupation media.
As reported by the illegal Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Fisheries, approximately 75% of the funds are allocated to cleaning rivers, and 25% — to establishing shorelines, water protection zones and protective coastal strips.
Earlier it was reported that after the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP many mines could have entered the Black Sea, which may now drift to the shores of neighboring regions and even other countries.
In addition, in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region the municipal enterprise pumped sewage into the sea with pollutant levels exceeding the norms. Because of this the Sea of Azov suffered damage amounting to hundreds of thousands of hryvnias.
About the threat of extinction of the Sea of Azov Ukrainian authorities reported as early as May 2022. One of the reasons for this is the Russian bombing of “Azovstal”.
