In the first quarter of 2026, residents of the right-bank part of Kherson region significantly reduced the level of payments for housing and communal services compared with the end of last year.
This is shown by the official reports of the Main Department of Statistics in Kherson region.
If in the fourth quarter of 2025 the region’s population paid 66.1% of the billed amounts, then by the end of the first quarter of 2026 this indicator fell to 49.4%.
In the first months of 2026 the amounts on bills increased significantly. Households were billed UAH 608.9 million (versus UAH 348.9 million in the previous quarter). At the same time people actually paid only UAH 300.7 million (at the end of last year this amount was UAH 230.7 million).
Earlier we wrote that in Ukraine a law was adopted that allows not to pay for utility services if housing is damaged or destroyed as a result of Russia’s armed aggression.
