Russian authorities deliberately conceal children abducted from the Kherson region and hide them even from their own parents.
This was said in an interview with LVIV MEDIA by the head of the Save Ukraine foundation, Mykola Kuleba.
According to him, at the time Kherson was captured by Russian forces, the children were temporarily receiving treatment at the Kherson children’s home.
“The occupation came and thus they ended up separated from their mother, and all this time it was impossible to find and return these children. And the mother could not find them or travel to these children”, – he said.
Kuleba emphasized that the Russian authorities hid the children in order not to return them to their Ukrainian family.
In addition, the Russians deliberately conceal other kidnapped children and refuse to provide Ukraine with information about their whereabouts.
“They know where these children are and what has happened to them, but they clearly understand that every such child is a witness to a war crime. Even a small child will testify about how they were separated from their mother and how this child was filled with Russian propaganda from an early age”, – said Mykola Kuleba.
