The Russian Federation announced the allocation of additional funds to “support” the budget of the occupied part of Kherson region and the modernization of power grids in the temporarily occupied territories.
Pro-Russian media write about this, citing the words of the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin.
Thus, 2.5 billion rubles are allocated for occupied Kherson region — for the so-called “budget stability”. These funds are planned to be spent on salary payments to employees of its budgetary sector, social obligations, and the purchase of ambulances.
Another 2 billion rubles the Russians promise to direct to the creation of an “emergency reserve” and the purchase of equipment for power grids in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
It should be noted that when forming the budget of the TOT Kherson region for 2025, the Russian government included 76% subsidies in it. This year’s budget, however, was approved with multi-billion deficits.
Without constant financial injections from Russia the occupied region is unable to function. The occupation authorities try to portray dependence as development, but in reality the economy of the TOT Kherson region is in a state of decline.
