A resident of Skadovsk who took a position in the occupying civil defense and emergency service received 10 years’ imprisonment.
This was reported on the website of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to law enforcement, in September 2022 he went to collaborate with the enemy and took the position of deputy head – head of the unit in the Skadovsk civil defense and emergency department created by the occupying authorities.
In this position the man exercised general leadership of the subordinate department, recruited service employees, and kept records of their working hours. He ensured the department’s functioning by illegally using the material and technical base of the local State Fire and Rescue Unit seized by the occupiers, the report says.
For these crimes he was found guilty of collaborationist activity and given a sentence – 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
