The Security Service of Ukraine has announced suspicion against Viktoriia Drozd, a resident of the temporarily occupied settlement of Chaplynka in the Kherson region, who, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Kherson region, collaborated with the Russians.
This is stated in the text of the suspicion, which was published on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to investigation materials, in September 2023 Drozd put forward her candidacy in the sham elections from the Russian party “United Russia”. As a result of the illegal voting she was declared a deputy and issued a mandate.
Viktoriia Drozd also headed the so-called permanent commission on matters of deputy activity and local self-government.
Moreover, she took direct part in meetings where the functioning of the occupation administration was discussed and regularly appeared at propagandistic public events.
Drozd is suspected under part 1 of Art. 28, part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – collaborationist activity. The investigation is ongoing.
