A journalist from the Kherson region and head of the district newspaper “Silski novyny” Lyubov Rudya was awarded the Order “For Merit” III degree.
The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Lyubov Rudya was awarded for her significant personal contribution to the development of domestic journalism and the information sphere, high professional skill and selflessness demonstrated while covering the events of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.
The award ceremony took place on the occasion of Journalist’s Day.
Lyubov Rudya has headed the district newspaper “Silski novyny” in Hornostaivka, Kherson Oblast for more than 25 years.
She was a deputy of the Hornostaivka District Council. In 2021 she resigned from her duties.
